My Journey as a Photographer
First and foremost, Welcome!
My name is Meghan and I have been on this artistic journey professionally for a little over 11 years. My interest in photography sparked during high school where I learned how to navigate a manual camera and how to develop my own film in a darkroom (yes, I'm aging myself a little bit here). Over the course of time, I really began to invest more of myself into this world, practicing, learning, and growing. About 11 years ago I decided to start my own business and have been building from the ground up ever since.
I am a lone wolf within my LLC and it's just one of those passions in life you go all in for. One of my main business goals is to really connect with my clients. I try to bring a good mix of getting down to business, and having a strong work ethic, while also maintaining a fun, energetic, and natural environment. Although using formal poses are the expectation within each session, I've also got an eye for those candid moments. I find that those are where the truest expressions lie and the ones that clients end up falling in love with. I enjoy chit-chatting with families and getting to know a little about them, as it helps with understanding their dynamics better, and over all helping me produce an organic photo experience for them.
I graduated with a bachelor's degree in English/Communications from Southern Vermont College so I'm skilled in the understanding of marketing, customer service, journalism and broadcasting, as well as having some schooling and experience working within early childhood education. I feel that I offer a wide range of knowledge in my profession and am also able to produce a creative twist to it. I try and keep my time flexible and my pricing fair and am always looking for ways to give back here and there for my clients. I try and keep my style as natural as possible with only minor retouches done to each session. If my style and ethics tend to fall in line with what you're searching for, then I'm your girl. I'm all in.
